Belgian-Congolese singer Camille Yembe began her career racking up songwriting credits on tracks by Aya Nakamura, Wizkid and Tiakola, before emerging as a solo artist with her debut EP, Plastique, in June 2025.
Acclaimed by critics, Yembe's music explores themes of struggle, romance and ambition and draws inspiration from Charles Aznavour and Radiohead's Thom Yorke. In January 2026 she was honoured with the Music Moves Europe Award (MME), following in the footsteps of previous winners Christine and the Queens, Dua Lipa, Rosalía and CMAT, and February saw her spotlighted by Vanity Fair France, who declared she 'possesses the spark of a great artist in the making'. Yembe will release her eagerly anticipated debut album Jeune & Laide on May 22, and will embark on her first European headline tour this spring, with major shows set for Paris, Brussels and Paleo Festival in Switzerland.
